Difference Between Working As a Freelancer and a Translation Agent
There exist differences between working as a translator for translation agencies and as a freelancer. The question of which solely depends on how one weighs the pros and cons. If you take a look at translator working as a freelancer, they always have to look for work for themselves. They are not under any agency or corporation.
The translators have the benefit of not being supervised hence they can arrange their own schedules and set their own targets. However, working as a freelancer can either lead to hard life or a better life. If the freelance translator does not get any job then he or she is in the risk of going without pay.
For a translator working for an agency, they always have work to do. The translators don’t go out looking for work but the agency does the tedious work for them. Working for a translation agency is considered stable for many since many companies are looking for translation agencies to hire. The advantage of working for a translation agency is that the translator will never hassle for work.
On the other hand, the translator has to bit deadlines set by his or her boss. Failure to meet the deadlines will put the translator at a higher risk of losing job. The translator is always under constant supervision by his or employer. The translator cannot set their own schedule but follow the ones set by the agency. Working in a translation agency means you get to be paid by the rates of the agency but not the one you decide however, if you are good at your work chances are you will get a good pay.
The good thing about working for a translation agency is that you will get paid at the end of the month whether you work extra hard or not. Unlike for a freelance translator where your hard work determines your pay.

A good translator should have a good understanding of the language spoken. The translator should also be open to learn more about the language and also new ideas.
A good translator should be the one who gets along with others. You should not be fed up with your workmates, since you spend most of your time with them.
